OW thinner is a high purity solvent, and has a low flash point, free of aromatic hydrocarbons.
Therefore this product is less toxic and dangerous than regular solvents ( turpentine, white spirit, mineral spirits,… ) and without the regular bad odour.
Since it is pure, it evaporates completely and it does not leave gum remainings. This is important, because it does not affect the tonalities and drying time, and it also does not deteriorate during stock.
OW thinner evaporates a bit slower than turpentine or other solvents. Therefore, it keeps the coating open a bit longer allowing a better application and an excellencent varnish leveling over the instrument surface.
OW thinner is an effective substitute of turpentine and other solvents that can be used when formulating varnishes or for cleaning tools.
